Thinking about carelessness and fearlessness, and how they can’t coexist. If my definition of fearlessness is the act of willingly approaching a situation which could result in detriment, and my definition of carelessness is a complete indifference to a situation whether detrimental or not, then they’ve got to be mutually exclusive. It’s funny how they can look exactly like each other. Fearlessness says, “This bullet is worth jumping in front of.” Carelessness says, “If this bullet doesn’t kill me, something else will.” They both look like someone taking the same action, but the motivation, and care of the outcome, or lack thereof, determines whether the person is void of fear or care.
Then I wonder, because someone can only be entirely fearless or entirely careless, how does that one escape carelessness? I guess he’s got to start hoping for something? Is the escape from carelessness accomplished by simply hoping to get rid of it?
Are the Kardashians careless or fearless?
